Day 4 - Time + Thanks
By Bernadette Terzich
Today was a great day. He called this morning to tell me that the tumors have not grown and one actually feels like it shrunk!! Praise God! We don't want to get ahead of ourselves, but we definitely want to praise our Great Physician for this wonderful news and for protecting Sasha from any side effects! Sasha also met a fellow patient, James, who had his last chemo treatment today. James is also a believer and they had a great conversation about their trials being an opportunity to witness to those around them! Especially in the hospital! Sasha and James would have been great friends! :) Before James left, he went around and put balloons and signs on all the patients doors. Such a thoughtful thing to do! And it definitely made me smile to see all these different balloons and signs on the doors in the hallway.
Thank you James!
Date Night
Sasha had some pretty special visitors in the afternoon and he was feeling good. The most special visitor came to see him around 9pm......
It feels like time is going by really fast for both of us, but when I typed in "Day 4", it now feels like it's going SO SLOW. Wasn't it two weeks ago that he checked into the hospital? No? Ok....fine.
Day 4 was our first hospital date night. We had PLENTY of date nights in this hospital 4/5 years ago! It definitely felt like old times again - especially since I wasn't with Logan. I could have snuggled on that hospital bed forever but I had to get home to the little man at home.

Thank you #teamschrader
All in all, it was a great day! Before I sign off, I wanted to take this time to really thank everyone who has continually reached out via text, FB, phone...people who have dropped off groceries, snacks, flowers, gift cards, meals...people who run errands for me daily, watch Logan, spend the night with me, brings things to Sasha at the hospital, juices for him, cooks for him, looks for recipes for him, encourages him, prays for him. I cannot even BEGIN to express the gratitude we have and we CLEARLY see the hands and feet of Jesus working around us.
Also, a very special thank you to Sasha's mom, Ida, she is taking such good care of her son which in turn helps me take care of my son. I don't know how I would do it all if she wasn't around to be with him every day.
And we know it's not only our church, Compass Bible Church, who is praying for us, but churches in La Puente, San Diego, Canada, Ohio...and we are all praying to the same God. Our God is able and He is perfect and good and shows us mercy DAILY.
"The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. The LORD is my portion," says my soul, "therefore I will hope in him." Lamentations 3:22-24
We love everyone so much and we are truly humbled by your love for us.
In Christ Alone,
Terzich Family
